Nothing is a surprise to God. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has created chaos in the world and has disrupted many lives and normal routines, God hasn’t stopped moving. Our leaders abroad are all experiencing the same challenges we are. In many cases, they face even greater challenges. They are continuing on in faith and love. So many new opportunities are opening to minister the good news of Jesus around the world.

This season is helping us to reprioritize. As believers, we are seeing just how important it is that we reach people with the Gospel. I am so thankful that we get to fulfill the great commission together by resourcing pastors to plant new churches.

Training a pastor well is the greatest factor in the success of a new church plant. It’s even more important than funding. Last month we had training workshops organized in four South American countries that are temporarily postponed due to the pandemic. While we eagerly await to reschedule them, we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce you to our Surge Training Director, Dr. Hendrik Vorster.

We are so thankful the Lord brought him on our team. He has been training church planters around the world for 33 years in over 75 nations! The strategy taught is directly from the Bible. And the training sessions aren’t strictly information, but Spirit-led encounters that forever mark the pastors.

We are so thankful to you for your prayers and support during this time. The work continues. Please also join us in praying and supporting other ministries and non-profits as they work through these challenging times.
